Not another "team needs" bot
Most NFL mock draft simulators run the same algorithm 32 times: check team needs, pick the highest-ranked player at a need position, repeat. That is not how real NFL drafts work. Eric DeCosta stockpiles picks like they are going out of style. Brian Gutekunst bets on raw athletes that other GMs pass on. The 49ers find late-round stars that nobody else had on their board. Big Board Lab models each front office individually — 32 distinct AI GMs that evaluate, trade, and reach like the real people running those draft rooms.
32 AI GMs with Real Personalities
Each AI GM behaves like the real front office. The Steelers’ AI builds through the trenches and refuses to reach because that is how Omar Khan actually drafts. The Packers’ AI bets on raw athletes with elite measurables because that is Brian Gutekunst’s track record. The Ravens trade down and stockpile picks because that is Eric DeCosta’s entire philosophy. These are not interchangeable bots with different team logos — they draft differently because the real GMs draft differently.
Live Trades
AI GMs trade with each other during the draft — just like real draft night. When a target slides, aggressive teams move up. When value dries up, smart teams trade back and accumulate capital. You can trade too — package picks, swap into a different round, or move up to grab your franchise quarterback before someone else does.
Live NFL Depth Charts
Every pick is evaluated against the team’s real NFL roster. Depth charts stay current throughout free agency, so the simulator always reflects the latest signings, releases, and trades. When a team adds a starter, that changes how the AI evaluates every subsequent pick. No stale data, no guessing what the roster looks like.
Every Pick Graded
Not just a letter grade on a generic scale. Each pick is graded on prospect value relative to slot, scheme fit for the team's specific offense or defense, how well it fills an actual depth chart gap, and draft capital efficiency. A reach for a scheme-perfect fit can grade higher than a BPA pick at a stacked position.
Scouting Reports & Scout Vision
Full scouting profiles on every prospect — trait grades, strengths, weaknesses, NFL comparisons, measurables, and projected role. Scout Vision shows you exactly how each prospect fits your team’s scheme, so you can see the difference between a generic “good player” and a player who actually fits what your coaching staff runs. Tap any pick to read the full report before you make your selection.
All 7 Rounds (257 Picks)
Most simulators quit after round 1. Some make it through round 3 if you are lucky. Big Board Lab runs the entire draft — all 257 picks across 7 rounds. Day-two and day-three picks are where most NFL rosters are actually built. If your simulator ends at pick 32, you are missing 225 picks worth of roster construction.
Scheme Fit & Smart Filters
Filter the board by position, scheme fit, or need. The simulator understands each team’s defensive and offensive scheme — a 280-pound edge rusher who would dominate in a 4-3 is a poor fit for a 3-4 OLB role. AI GMs factor this into their picks, and you can see scheme fit scores for every prospect on your board before you pick.
Multi-Team Control
Draft for one team and let the 31 AI GMs handle the rest, or control multiple teams at once. Every pick slots into a formation-style depth chart visualization showing exactly where your rookies land on the roster — starter, backup, or upgrade over an incumbent. No other simulator shows you roster impact in real time like this.

The small things other simulators miss
The difference between a draft simulator and a draft simulation is in the details.
The board changes after every pick
When a team drafts a cornerback in round 1, their need for a corner decreases for every subsequent pick. That sounds obvious, but most simulators do not do this — they run off a static needs list that never changes. Big Board Lab recalculates roster impact after every single pick. If a team takes an edge rusher early and then another edge falls to them two rounds later, the AI knows that position is less urgent now and adjusts accordingly. Depth charts update in real time so you can see exactly where each pick slots in.
AI GMs remember what they’ve already invested
A team that just used a top-15 pick on a tackle last year is not drafting another tackle in round 1 this year, even if the player is the best on the board. Real front offices give their high picks time to develop. The simulator knows what each team has already committed to and it shapes how aggressively each AI pursues each position.
Scout Vision shows you what the AI sees
Most simulators tell you a player is “good.” Big Board Lab’s Scout Vision shows you why a player fits a specific team. Scheme fit scores, trait breakdowns, formation-level depth chart impact — all visible before you make your pick. Toggle Scout Vision on and the board reshapes around your team’s actual system. It’s the difference between drafting with a generic ranking and drafting with a war room.
