Deion Burks
Oklahoma
Scouting Report

Compact, twitchy slot weapon who generates separation with blistering acceleration and stop-start quickness rather than a polished route tree. Burks is at his most dangerous in manufactured-touch situations — screens, jet sweeps, spacing concepts — where his elite burst and surprising contact balance for a 180-pounder turn five-yard completions into 25-yard gains. The Combine confirmed what the Freaks List already suggested: a 4.30 forty, 42.5-inch vert, and 26 bench reps at his size is a unicorn athletic profile. But he's a scheme-dependent weapon, not a complete receiver — contested catches are a real problem at 5-foot-9 with sub-30-inch arms, the durability history raises legitimate red flags, and the production never matched the tools across two programs. In the right system with a creative play-caller, he's a Zay Flowers-lite difference-maker; in the wrong one, he's a gadget player who never sees 50 catches.

Pro ComparisonTre Tucker

Similar undersized, explosive speed profile who does primary damage underneath with post-catch quickness. Both are scheme-dependent slot weapons with elite track speed but questions about whether they can be full-time starters rather than gadget pieces.
