Devon Marshall
NC State
Scouting Report

Self-proclaimed 'Marshall Island' corner who thrives on the challenge of one-on-one matchups against opposing WR1s. Marshall's elite ball skills and competitive fire carried a middling NC State defense in 2025 — his shutdown performance against FSU's Duce Robinson (2 INTs, 6 PBU, 7.7 passer rating allowed on 14 targets) was one of the best individual CB games in recent ACC history. The 5-11 frame and FCS-to-Power 4 transfer path will cap his draft ceiling, and the lack of elite length means contested-catch situations against NFL-sized receivers will be a problem. But the ball production, alpha mentality, and PFF-validated coverage consistency (85.0 coverage grade, 37th nationally) suggest a player who can carve out a long NFL career as a boundary CB2 or high-end nickel if he tests well enough to validate the tape speed.

Pro ComparisonBene Benwikere

Undersized corner with strong ball skills and competitive streak who thrived in the ACC but faced questions about his physical profile translating to the NFL. Both players are 5-11 boundary corners with elite ball production who rely on instincts and technique over measurables.
