Julian Neal
Arkansas
Scouting Report

Neal is a long-limbed, physical boundary corner who imposes his will at the line of scrimmage and plays the run like a safety. His length disrupts timing at the catch point and he swings contested balls in the defense's favor with well-timed hand strikes, giving him legitimate ball production upside. The technique is raw — his press timing is inconsistent, he gets grabby through routes, and his 7.13 three-cone confirms what the tape shows about below-average change-of-direction ability. Still, the size-strength-ball skills package at 6'2" with 33-inch arms and a 40-inch vertical is exactly what NFL teams covet on the boundary, and his upward trajectory from Mountain West non-factor to SEC starter in two years suggests a player whose ceiling hasn't been reached yet.

Pro ComparisonCarlton Davis

Similar build and playing style — press-oriented boundary corner with good ball skills who was flagged for grabbiness as a prospect. Both use length to contest at the catch point and are strong run defenders, but carry penalties and inconsistency in off-coverage as concerns.
