Ted Hurst
Georgia State
Scouting Report

Big-bodied boundary receiver who wins at the catch point like a bully and stretches the field with deceptive build-up speed. Hurst is the best deep-ball tracker in this class — his ability to locate, adjust, and high-point the football downfield is genuinely special, and he converts 50-50 balls at a 60% clip that makes them closer to 70-30 when the ball is in the air. The route tree is narrow and the release package is underdeveloped — NFL press corners are going to jam him off the line until he learns to use his hands — and concentration drops (13 at Georgia State, 9% drop rate per PFF) will test coaches' patience. The floor is a redzone-specific weapon who earns a roster spot on fade routes alone; the ceiling, if the route refinement clicks, is a legitimate WR2 who stretches defenses and wins in traffic.

Pro ComparisonMichael Gallup

Tall, deep-threat boundary receiver who wins 50-50 balls and stretches the field but entered the league with the same developmental needs: route refinement, focus drops, and press-coverage struggles. Both are high-ceiling developmental X receivers who need patient coaching to unlock.
